UK Airline Taxes Imposed

The UK imposes the highest tax on flying in Europe by a big margin. Ticket taxes are charged on the amount paid for commercial air transportation.

Deductible Airline Fees

Yes, I believe the full amount paid for the airline ticket is deductible including taxes. (Per the 2010 IRS Publication 17, page 176, Table 26-1: Travel Expenses You Can Deduct).
