Tax Dues/Arrears

Is there any way of finding if there is any pending tax demand notice of 15/20 years back or any old dues/arrears/taxes that are still due against me. for this whom to contact.
is therer a law of limitation that IT india can not ask papers/details/old tax dues after a reasonable period?
