Ex Husband Tax Return

My ex husband claims that in 2005 when we were still married, that we failed to claim income for me on that years taxes. The job I had was less than 6 months and in another state. It is now 2012 and he says that the IRS has taken his tax return of $2,000.00+. Is this even possible and will this affect my taxes when filed this year with my current husband?
