Yes you can claim 0 or 1 exemptions for withholdings even though there are four of you. The W4 is just a guideline to help you determine how much taxes you will need to withhold but you can withhold more than recommended for just in case if you would like.
And you can also claim married filing at the single higher rate during the year instead of married.
