As a dependent in High school I was awarded Live Apportionment Benfits and was able to receive a monthly income as long as I attended school/ college. I recieved the benfits for 5 years while enrolled in college until I was a Junior in college and then they stoped and I recived a letter of debit from the VA becasue THEY (VA) realized that THEY (VA) awarded my father to much money, which I had no control of or dealings with at any time!

Have tried to fix my hole adult life to and explain that I never asked for the benfits nor ever filled out paper work to recieve them in the first place and every year they would garnish my taxes. Now that I have been married for 7 months, will they garnish my taxes if she and I were to fill joint income? Thank you for the help!
