ACCOUNTING DEFINITIONS STARTING WITH THE LETTER N
Net Earnings:
Earnings remaining from an amount, especially of money, after all necessary deductions have been made.
Net Income:
To earn or provide a sum of money as pure profit after all necessary deductions have been made.
Notes Payable:
Promissory notes that a company undertakes to pay at a fixed or determinable date in the future.
Notes Payable-Short Term:
Promissory notes that a company undertakes to pay in under a year.
Notes Receivable
Promissory notes counting as assets to those entitled to payment.
